Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany addressed the controversial decision to disallow a goal by Luis Díaz during their match against FC Augsburg. A VAR review ruled out the Colombian's set-piece strike due to an offside in the build-up. Kompany accepted the ruling, bluntly stating that "offside is offside" and noted that matches can be decided by fine margins and millimeters.
The disallowed effort was one of four goals ruled out for offside against Bayern Munich on the day as the club drew 2-2 with Augsburg. Kompany acknowledged that his team also had themselves to blame for costly mistakes, noting that while supporters celebrated six times, only two of Bayern's goals officially counted.
