Borussia Dortmund has officially extended the contract of head coach Niko Kovač through June 30, 2029. The club announced the agreement following a successful period under the 54-year-old Croatian manager, which included leading BVB to a second-place Bundesliga finish and securing Champions League qualification after taking charge in spring 2025.
The contract extension also retains assistant coaches Robert Kovač and Filip Tapalović. Kovač has recorded 114 points across 53 Bundesliga matches with Dortmund, earning an average of 2.15 points per game, the highest in club history.
