The New York Rangers are swapping centers for their fourth line. According to a team announcement, the Rangers recalled Justin Dowling from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
The New York Rangers have recalled veteran center Justin Dowling from the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and reassigned rookie Cole Beaudoin in a corresponding move. The roster change alters New York's fourth line options after Beaudoin saw his playing time drop significantly, logging just 3:29 of ice time against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Beaudoin, 20, recorded one point across four games in his initial NHL stint after being recalled following Joe Veleno's injury. The 36-year-old Dowling brings 154 games of NHL experience back to the Rangers' bottom six, while Beaudoin returns to Hartford for top-line ice time.
