After making his first start since February, Ageu is facing another lay-off

Heart of Midlothian midfielder Ageu will miss out on the Conference League after suffering a fresh muscle injury in training on Tuesday. The Brazilian midfielder was set to be included in the European squad as an injury replacement for Blair Spittal, following his first start since February in Saturday's 5-0 win over St Mirren. Manager Wouter Vrancken confirmed the setback ahead of Thursday's league phase opener against Danish club Nordsjaelland.
With Ageu sidelined, defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott was added to the European squad instead, allowing Oisin McEntee to provide cover in midfield. Hearts are also without suspended midfielder Tomas Magnusson, alongside injured players Blair Spittal and Tom Renaud, as they prepare for a campaign that includes matches against Monaco, Borac, Trabzonspor, Pafos, and Thun.
