The Story in 60 Seconds

Tottenham Hotspur expert John Wenham stated that Shakhtar Donetsk chief executive Sergei Palkin will not stop complaining regarding Manor Solomon's transfer. Palkin recently threatened to take Tottenham to the European Club Association or the Court of Arbitration for Sport if a financial settlement is not reached following Solomon's permanent transfer to West Ham United.

Wenham argued that Tottenham owe Shakhtar nothing, noting Spurs previously granted the Ukrainian club 50 percent of the proceeds from a benefit friendly. Solomon initially joined Tottenham on a free transfer under FIFA's emergency contract rulings in July 2023 before recently being sold to West Ham for approximately £5 million.
