Oklahoma City Thunder rookie guard Otega Oweh will miss the entire season after undergoing surgery for a ruptured right Achilles tendon. The procedure was performed in New York by Dr. Martin O'Malley with Thunder medical staff present. Oweh suffered the injury during overtime of Tuesday's preseason contest against the Indiana Pacers and had to be helped off the court.
Selected 41st overall in June's draft, Oweh had averaged 6.8 points and 5.0 rebounds across four preseason games. He currently occupies one of Oklahoma City's two-way contract slots alongside Josh Dix and Brooks Barnhizer.
