Kenrich Williams just further proved Alex Caruso's "head of the snake" claims to be correct in Tuesday's preseason win for the OKC Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams validated Alex Caruso's praise of his competitive leadership during a 114-112 preseason overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers. After Indiana forward James Johnson leveled Thunder rookie Bennett Stirtz with an illegal screen in the fourth quarter, Williams confronted Johnson. Moments later, Williams isolated Johnson on offense, completed a crossover dribble, and hit a 3-pointer to shift the momentum in Oklahoma City's favor.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault highlighted Williams' impact after the game, describing the veteran as the soul of the team. Mark Nilon of Thunderous Intentions suggests Williams could see an expanded role this season following offseason trades that sent Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, and Isaiah Joe away from Oklahoma City.
