The San Jose Sharks have placed forward Alex Barre-Boulet on waivers, according to PuckPedia. Barre-Boulet began the season on San Jose's injured reserve list, but after returning to full health, he requires waivers before he can be assigned to the minor leagues.
Barre-Boulet signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Sharks on July 1. Upon clearing waivers, he is slated to join the AHL's San Jose Barracuda, where he is expected to boost a struggling offense currently dealing with injuries to key forwards Cameron Lund and Quentin Musty.
