Something interesting is happening in Boston, and Toronto Maple Leafs fans should pay attention. Fraser Minten, the young forward the Maple Leafs traded to the Bruins in the deal for defenceman Brandon Carlo, is beginning to look like he belongs.
Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Fraser Minten is flourishing with the Boston Bruins following his trade for defenceman Brandon Carlo. The 22-year-old scored twice in Boston's 6-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night, pushing his season totals to four goals and seven points across his first seven games.
Bruins defenceman Charlie McAvoy praised Minten's maturity and composure, noting that the team expects to involve him in their leadership group. Professor Press Box argues that while it remains early in the season, Minten's rapid progression and veteran trust make the trade an intriguing development for Maple Leafs fans to monitor.
