The New Orleans Saints didn't fare well against a heavy blitz last weekend. Unfortunately for the offense, the New York Giants will blitz big too.

Molly Bauer argues that the New York Giants defense will likely replicate the blitz-heavy blueprint used by Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores to stifle the New Orleans Saints. After New Orleans suffered a 23-13 loss to Minnesota in Week 5, the Saints now face a Giants defense coordinated by Dennard Wilson that ranks second in the NFL with a 59.5% blitz rate.
Bauer emphasizes that Saints offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and quarterback Tyler Shough must adjust their playcalling and counter-blitz strategies against New York. Offensive tackles Asim Richards and Taliese Fuaga have allowed 38 pressures and seven sacks, making improved protection and quick throws vital to avoid another defeat.
