Tongan winger Martha Mataele has signed a two-year contract to join the Brisbane Broncos NRLW squad through 2028. The powerhouse back makes the move to Brisbane as the club continues reshaping its roster ahead of upcoming campaigns, following her recent international duty captaining the Tongan national women's team.
Mataele previously made her NRLW debut with the Parramatta Eels in 2025 before competing throughout the 2026 season. She expressed excitement about joining a quality organization, describing the contract signing as surreal and pledging to bring reliability, tough carries, and aerial skill to the Broncos.
