The Kings Herald reports that the Sacramento Kings are facing mounting roster concerns and front-court injuries following a preseason loss to the Trail Blazers. Head coach Doug Christie held out nearly the entire core, including Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis, Malik Monk, Ben Simmons, Darius Acuff Jr., and De'Andre Hunter. Christie cited health, soreness, and workload for the absences. Precious Achiuwa also suffered a right ankle injury during the game.
Injuries have depleted the frontcourt, with Dylan Cardwell sidelined for two weeks due to a calf strain alongside Maxime Raynaud. Sacramento re-signed Viktor Lakhin to a non-guaranteed camp deal to address depth. Additionally, Draymond Green recently advised rookie Acuff on ball movement during an earlier contest against Golden State.
