Morris left the Dons to join Luton Town last year just months after helping Dons lift the cup at Hampden for the first time since 1990

Former Aberdeen winger Shayden Morris has revealed that feeling a lack of respect during contract negotiations convinced him to leave Pittodrie. The 24-year-old departed Aberdeen in the summer of 2025 to join Luton Town on a permanent transfer after three seasons in Scotland. Despite wanting to stay following a standout campaign, Morris stated that the club failed to meet his expectations during talks.
Under manager Jimmy Thelin, Morris registered five goals and 13 assists, culminating in a Scottish Cup final victory over Celtic on penalties. The winger reflected on his decisive role in forcing an own goal off Kasper Schmeichel during the final, while also expressing frustration at being limited to a super-sub role before completing his transfer to Kenilworth Road.
