The Story in 60 Seconds

Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has agreed to sign lock André Goedhals from South African Currie Cup side the Pumas. The move comes as Exeter deals with an injury-hit second row, with Italian lock Andrea Zambonin and Lewis Pearson both sidelined following shoulder issues.

Goedhals is English-qualified after being born in Devon, holding a British passport before his family moved back to South Africa. The 21-year-old former Springbok under-20 representative becomes the third Pumas player to secure a Gallagher Premiership move this summer, following transfers to Sale Sharks and Harlequins.
