Golden State Warriors big man Kristaps Porzingis has traveled to Los Angeles to seek specialized medical advice for an undisclosed illness. Porzingis remains sidelined indefinitely and missed training camp as well as five preseason games. He recently met with Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy and Director of Sports Medicine Rick Celebrini, though the team confirmed details of his condition will remain private.
Porzingis addressed his status on social media, explaining that he is actively consulting with doctors and experts while remaining patient with his recovery. While Porzingis previously dealt with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome following an illness in 2025, neither he nor the team has confirmed if that condition caused his current absence ahead of the October 21 season opener.
