With two big players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo on the same team, Erik Spoelstra is struggling to come up with a game plan for the Miami Heat.
Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra explained why building a relationship with new acquisition Giannis Antetokounmpo will take time compared to his long-standing bond with Bam Adebayo. Speaking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, Spoelstra noted that he and Adebayo have navigated years of shared NBA and Olympic experiences together, developing a family-like connection that cannot simply be replicated immediately on day one with a new player.
Antetokounmpo joined Miami following a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks earlier in the summer, representing the franchise's biggest superstar addition since 2010. Spoelstra emphasized that his intention is to let his connection with Antetokounmpo develop organically rather than forcing it.
