Timur Tutierov has been handed a first competitive Sunderland start in this afternoon's Europa League game at Torreense
Timur Tutierov has been handed his first competitive start for Sunderland in their Europa League match against Torreense in Portugal. Manager Regis Le Bris made seven changes to the starting lineup following a weekend defeat to Brighton, choosing Tutierov to lead the attack because Wilson Isidor is sidelined with a knock and Brian Brobbey is recovering from an injury on the bench.
Only Robin Roefs, Trai Hume, Noah Sadiki, and Nilson Angulo retained their starting spots from the previous match. Luke O'Nien stepped in at center-back, Dayann Methalie took over at left-back, and Jules Ahoka started in midfield, while Brobbey, Granit Xhaka, and Enzo Le Fee were named among the substitutes.
