The Justin Herbert-Mike McDaniel pairing has been disastrous. The Chargers quarterback looks lost through the first five weeks of the season in a new system under McDaniel. Hall of Famer Kurt Warner broke down what he’s seen from Herbert as…

Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner offered his assessment of Justin Herbert's recent struggles under head coach Mike McDaniel as the Los Angeles Chargers remain winless through five weeks of the 2026 season. Speaking on "The Rich Eisen Show," Warner suggested that Herbert may be overly fixated on receivers rather than tracking defenders in McDaniel's progression offense, leading to repeated turnovers.
Herbert has posted five touchdowns against seven interceptions while completing just 59.4% of his passes this season. He has also been sacked 17 times through five games, putting him on pace for 58 sacks, which would exceed his career-high 54 sacks taken last year.
