Nico Ali Walsh revealed that his shoulder almost tore completely off the bone during his June 2024 rematch against Sona Akale. Despite dislocating his joint and tearing his labrum in the final round, Ali Walsh managed to survive until the final bell and win a unanimous decision.
Ali Walsh stated on social media that he required surgery days after the bout, describing it as the worst pain of his life. After avenging his previous defeat to Akale, Ali Walsh has since suffered two losses, most recently against Treavon Craycraft on October 10.
