Danika Mason is officially leaving the Today show.

Sports reporter Danika Mason tearfully confirmed on Friday that she is permanently leaving Channel Nine's breakfast program Today. Mason, who is expecting her first child with NRL player Liam Knight, explained that balancing motherhood, her NRL reporting commitments, and the breakfast show was unsustainable, leading her to make the decision not to return after maternity leave.
Mason's announcement follows a series of recent exits from the program, including weatherman Tim Davies, co-host Sarah Abo, and longtime anchor Karl Stefanovic. Following Stefanovic's departure in June, Sylvia Jeffreys and Tom Steinfort were confirmed as the replacement hosting team for Today.
