This forgotten Southampton star was shoved ever closer to the exit door after being left out of the Norwich away win.

Writer Kelan Sarson argues that Southampton defender Mads Roerslev's departure now appears inevitable after he was left out of the squad for a 1-0 win against Norwich City. Tonda Eckert opted to start loanee Zach Abbott at right-back to rest James Bree, leaving the experienced Danish defender completely out of the matchday team.
Sarson highlights that Roerslev has managed only ten appearances since his £3m arrival from Brentford, partly due to injury issues. With James Bree established as the first-choice option and Abbott preferred ahead of him, the writer believes Southampton will look to offload Roerslev.
