FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker said Thursday that he will most likely stay on the sideline for Sunday night’s game
Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker addressed defensive issues through five games, taking responsibility for mistakes such as getting play calls in on time. Speaking ahead of Sunday night's game against the Green Bay Packers, Parker noted that the defense has dealt with self-inflicted wounds that remain fixable. He also confirmed he will likely remain coaching from the sideline rather than moving up to the booth.
Parker also detailed the addition of senior defensive assistant Mike Pettine, who previously hired Parker in Green Bay in 2019. Pettine joins the staff to serve as a sounding board and provide front-seven expertise to balance Parker's background as a defensive backs coach. Parker explained that Pettine had taken time away after coaching for more than 30 consecutive years before finalizing the move.
