Legspinner urged to push case after being dropped for senior tours of Pakistan and Australia

Rehan Ahmed has been included in the England Lions white-ball squads to tour the Caribbean against West Indies A next month. The 22-year-old legspinner was omitted from the senior squads touring Pakistan and Australia following two difficult ODIs against Sri Lanka. The tour marks Jonathan Trott's first assignment as Lions head coach, featuring three T20s and five 50-over matches held in St Kitts and Nevis.
Thomas Rew will captain the T20 squad, while Dan Lawrence leads the 50-over team. Rew, James Coles, and Eddie Jack will depart after the third one-day match to join the senior England squad in Australia for a T20I series. Several players holding newly signed central or development contracts are participating to build white-ball experience under Trott.
