Everton manager David Moyes confirmed that Vitalii Mykolenko has a chance to return against Chelsea on Saturday after responding well to treatment. The defender missed the previous 2-2 draw at Hull City due to a fitness issue. Meanwhile, midfielder Christian Nørgaard is available to potentially play minutes off the bench as he continues to regain fitness following a groin injury, while Jarrad Branthwaite remains a late fitness call.
Moyes also addressed squad competition ahead of the Premier League fixture, noting that 20-year-old Tyrique George is pushing Jack Grealish for a starting spot on the left wing. Additionally, Moyes praised Jake O'Brien's versatility while defending striker Thierno Barry despite recent missed chances, emphasizing that the 23-year-old forward continues to improve and get into strong goalscoring positions.
