Alan Shearer has warned Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle that supporters will turn on him unless the team improves against Aston Villa. Shearer's warning follows Newcastle's 4-1 loss to Coventry, which was their second consecutive 4-1 away defeat after a prior loss to Leeds. Shearer stressed that the team must bounce back at St James' Park to avoid fan frustration.
Writing for Betfair, Shearer noted that losing in such a manner will not be tolerated in front of 52,000 home fans. However, he also urged perspective, stating that there is no need to panic because Newcastle's current position matches his expectations for the season.
