Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor missed practice, leaving the Giants to prepare protection for Marcus Mbow and J.C. Davis.

Alexander Wilson argues that the New York Giants must adjust their offensive scheme and protection plans if inexperienced offensive tackles Marcus Mbow and rookie J.C. Davis are forced to start against the New Orleans Saints. Starting offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor both missed Wednesday's practice due to groin and calf injuries, respectively, though neither has been officially ruled out for Sunday's matchup.
Wilson suggests that the Giants' coaching staff should proactively incorporate chip blocks from running backs, tight end assistance, and slide protections to protect quarterback Jameis Winston. While Mbow has three career NFL starts and Davis has yet to appear in a regular-season game, Wilson contends that New York cannot rely on standard pass protections without offering built-in support.
