If Drew Eubanks didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all, much like the Sacramento Kings.

Drew Eubanks has experienced a difficult 2026 calendar year marked by severe injuries and roster cuts. After Sacramento decided against re-signing him following the 2025-2026 season, the center signed with the New York Knicks for the preseason to back up Karl-Anthony Towns. However, Eubanks suffered a torn pectoral muscle and was subsequently waived by New York.
The setback follows a March 2026 torn UCL in his thumb that cut his Kings tenure short after rookies Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell took over frontcourt duties. Ian Goodwillie reports that Eubanks will likely miss the entire 2026-2027 NBA season due to surgery and rehab, though the writer expects the 30-year-old to eventually resume his playing career.
