Detroit’s revised trade demands for their elite captain prioritize elite prospects and draft capital, shifting the leverage toward contenders like Tampa Bay and Washington in a blockbuster sweepstakes.

TSN insider Darren Dreger reports that the Detroit Red Wings are seeking three or four pieces in a trade for captain Dylan Larkin. The reported asking price includes two A-quality prospects, a top-nine forward, and a first-round draft pick. Although Larkin has returned to Detroit's lineup, he reportedly maintains a preference to be traded, shifting the team's trade demands.
The revised parameters could position contenders like the Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals as strong suitors with the requisite draft capital and prospects. While teams like the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers could also construct competitive packages, Larkin holds a no-move clause and would have to approve any move to a Canadian market.
