"Probably the best thing for him was to go through a little adversity."

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman believes quarterback Drake Maye's turnaround from early-season struggles is primarily due to the young passer handling adversity rather than scheme adjustments. Speaking on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd, Edelman stated that experiencing early difficulty was probably beneficial for the 24-year-old quarterback.
After a difficult start to the season, Maye recorded 643 passing yards and eight total touchdowns over his last two games against the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders. The Patriots will aim to continue their momentum on Sunday against the New York Jets, with wide receiver A.J. Brown potentially returning from injury.
