Nuggets wing Julian Strawther has been diagnosed with a left knee sprain following an MRI, the team announced in a press release (Twitter link via Law Murray of The Athletic).
Denver Nuggets wing Julian Strawther will be sidelined for at least six weeks following an MRI that revealed a left knee sprain, the team announced. Strawther suffered the injury after twisting his leg awkwardly during Wednesday's preseason contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Nuggets confirmed that the 24-year-old will undergo a reevaluation around November 27.
Prior to the injury, Strawther had impressed during the preseason, averaging 13.2 points per game while competing for regular rotation minutes under head coach David Adelman. Eligible for a rookie scale extension until October 19, he is slated to become a restricted free agent in 2027 if no deal is agreed upon.
