Deepti Sharma praised Niki Prasad, who shared an 82-run stand with her to take India home after a difficult start to the chase in the first T20I against Zimbabwe in Raipur.

Deepti Sharma praised debutant Niki Prasad after their 82-run partnership helped India recover from 19/4 to secure a four-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in Raipur. Chasing a target of 115 in the first T20I, Sharma scored 49 while the 20-year-old Prasad finished unbeaten on 39, pulling the team out of early trouble in the powerplay.
Following the match, Sharma noted that Prasad played with the composure of an experienced international cricketer rather than a debutant. Although Sharma admitted regret over not finishing the chase after being dismissed with 14 runs needed, she emphasized that remaining calm under pressure was vital to securing the win.
