The Miami Dolphins are going through a difficult stretch on the field, but their value as an NFL franchise continues to climb. Despite starting the season 0-5, the team is reportedly set to welcome a new billionaire minority owner as…
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has reportedly agreed to sell a 2.1% minority stake in the franchise and affiliated businesses to Chilean billionaire Jean Eric Salata. The deal establishes a new NFL record valuation for a non-controlling stake, eclipsing the previous benchmark set at a $12.5 billion valuation when Lin Bin purchased a 1% share earlier in 2026.
Salata, who chairs Swedish investment firm EQT AB, joins an ownership group covering the team, Hard Rock Stadium, a Formula 1 race, and a tennis tournament. The NFL finance committee approved the sale last month, with full team owners expected to officially ratify the transaction at the league's upcoming fall meeting in New York.
