The Golden State Warriors completed their preseason schedule with a 128-118 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers at Chase Center on Friday night. Head coach Steve Kerr gave his starters their heaviest workload of the exhibition slate ahead of the regular season opener. Steph Curry led Golden State with 20 points, while Brandin Podziemski and Yaxel Lendeborg each contributed 17 points in the win.
After falling behind early, Golden State rallied behind bench scoring from Georges Niang and an all-around performance from Draymond Green, who posted seven points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals. Kerr started Charles Bassey alongside Green, Lendeborg, Podziemski, and Curry before Bassey exited after eight minutes. Brandon Williams missed the contest due to back soreness but is expected ready for opening night.
