The Golden State Warriors have waived Alex Toohey, Dalen Terry, and Tyler Burton as they finalize their roster ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. Toohey's departure drew significant attention after he was shown on the Chase Center JumboTron during Game 1 of the WNBA Finals roughly 30 minutes before his release was announced.
Terry, a former first-round pick who played five pre-season games for Golden State, was let go despite his NBA experience. Reports suggest all three waived players could potentially join the Santa Cruz Warriors, the franchise's G League affiliate, while guard Brandon Williams is set to be retained on the opening-night roster.
