The Tunisian endured a nasty ankle injury in Sunday's derby win over Gladbach but likely won't feature again until 2027.

1. FC Köln midfielder Ellyes Skhiri will be sidelined until 2027 after sustaining a severe ankle injury during Sunday's Rhinederby victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 31-year-old was forced off at half-time and is not expected to play again until after the New Year.
Despite the setback, Köln sporting director Thomas Kessler confirmed to BILD that the club has no plans to sign a free agent as cover before the winter break. Skhiri, who re-signed from Eintracht Frankfurt in August for €1 million, joins injured strikers Ragnar Ache and Thijs Dallinga on the club's long-term absentee list.
