Former New York Giants starting wide receiver released by Indianapolis Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts have released veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton less than one month after signing him. Slayton, who previously spent his entire career with the New York Giants, was let go on Friday morning. The move comes shortly after Slayton reportedly developed a knee issue the previous week.
Slayton was initially signed by Indianapolis as a free agent to provide depth while Alec Pierce dealt with a heel injury and to reunite with quarterback Daniel Jones. Prior to joining the Colts, the former fifth-round pick earned approximately $38.5 million across his long tenure with the Giants, recording 296 receptions for 4,435 yards and 22 touchdowns.
