Celtic's Europa League campaign has come under scrutiny following their 4-1 loss to Benfica.
Pundit Jason Cundy strongly criticized Celtic following their 4-1 Europa League defeat to Benfica, asserting the club had disgraced UK football. Speaking on talkSPORT's Sports Bar, the former Chelsea defender questioned the value of Scottish clubs competing in European tournaments after Celtic suffered their second straight defeat in the competition's league phase.
During a discussion with the Open Goal podcast team, Cundy dismissed the broader stature of both Celtic and Rangers, arguing that every English club surpasses them. The defeat against Benfica, following a previous 3-1 loss to Ferencvaros, left Martin O'Neill's Celtic side third from the bottom in the standings.
