Eagles notebook: Time to see Carson Steele on offense?

Philadelphia Eagles running back Carson Steele is in line to see offensive snaps against the Carolina Panthers after injuries sidelined the team's top three running backs. Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley have all been ruled out for the matchup. Steele, who previously played only special teams snaps last week, will serve alongside Dameon Pierce as Philadelphia's primary backfield options.

Elsewhere on the roster, quarterback Tanner McKee will start in place of Jalen Hurts, who is sidelined with a calf blood clot, with rookie Cole Payton serving as backup. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio also confirmed that defensive tackle Jalen Carter will wear a significantly smaller wrist cast against Carolina following a strong performance.
