An injury is one of the very worst things to happen to a talented young footballer. For a profession that demands physical perfection, such injuries can not only rob a player of years of development and lower their professional ceiling…

Bayern Munich youth right-back Chivano Wijks has suffered a new thigh injury during his competitive comeback match. The 18-year-old defender was subbed off at half-time in Bayern U-19's 6-1 victory over SSV Jahn Regensburg in the DFB Youth League. Bayern Munich confirmed via their official website that the Dutchman will be unavailable for the time being.
The setback comes after Wijks missed nearly a year of action due to a previous left thigh injury suffered in November 2025. While Bayern did not confirm which thigh was affected this time, the recurring issue presents a major developmental obstacle for the defender following his 2024 arrival.
