The Story in 60 Seconds

Football FanCast writer Dan Emery argues that Rangers winger Daisuke Yokota could see his Ibrox career come to an early end due to the emergence of Badredine Bouanani. The 21-year-old Algerian loanee impressed on the right wing with a goal in Rangers' 2-2 draw against Dundee, having joined from Stuttgart on loan with a £15.5m permanent option.

Yokota arrived from Hannover in a £2.75m summer transfer but has registered zero goals and two assists across nine appearances in all competitions. Emery suggests that once competition increases on the right flank, Yokota risks becoming surplus to requirements under manager Derek McInnes as early as the January window.
