Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out of the upcoming El Clasico against Barcelona due to a bout of the flu. The Belgian shot-stopper's unexpected illness leaves backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin expected to start in goal for the tenth round of the LaLiga season.
Courtois's late absence comes as a significant setback for Real Madrid ahead of the vital fixture at Camp Nou. Meanwhile, academy goalkeeper Illia Voloshyn was added to the squad list to provide further depth in goal.
