VfL Bochum recorded their first 2. Bundesliga win since matchday 4 with a hard-fought comeback against Energie Cottbus.

VfL Bochum ended a five-game winless run in the 2. Bundesliga by securing a comeback victory away at Energie Cottbus. Tolcay Cigerci initially put Cottbus ahead with a penalty following a foul by goalkeeper Timo Horn on Lucas Copado. Bochum responded in the second half through Philipp Hofmann, who leveled the match after having two earlier efforts disallowed for offside.
Substitute Christian Rasmussen scored the decisive late winner to secure the points for manager Uwe Rosler's side. The result moved Bochum above Cottbus in the league standings, extending the hosts' own winless streak to five matches.
