Atletico Madrid vs. Bayern Munich preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Bayern Munich travel to Spain to face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in the Champions League league phase. The German side sits 14th in the standings with five points after consecutive draws against Viking FK and Arsenal. Assistant coach Aaron Danks will continue deputizing for Vincent Kompany, who remains absent due to meningeal irritation, while Diego Simeone's Atletico side enters the match unbeaten at home since May.

Bayern face major injury concerns after Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry suffered injuries against Borussia Dortmund, joining Luis Diaz and Jamal Musiala on the sidelines. Michael Olise and Manuel Neuer took part in training and could feature. Meanwhile, Atletico must manage without suspended midfielder Morten Hjulmand, with Johnny Cardoso and Koke doubtful.
