Bayern Munich director of sport Max Eberl revealed in a Sport Bild interview that the club considered signing Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. Eberl had previously attempted to sign Barcola for RB Leipzig during his tenure there. Bayern ultimately missed out on Barcola, who joined Liverpool.
Eberl stated that Barcola's asking price was too high for Bayern. Instead, the club signed Luis Díaz, a player Eberl described as costly but on a different scale. Despite Díaz's impact, Bayern reportedly tried to sign another left winger in the summer to support him but were unsuccessful.
