Former United States goalkeeper Kasey Keller has named Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona as the top competitors to challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the Champions League title. Keller praised Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany for doing a tremendous job with the German club, which he described as an institution with a world-class environment.
However, Keller noted that Bayern Munich faces a unique challenge due to a relative lack of weekly competition in the Bundesliga. He suggested that more consistent domestic pressure would better prepare the team for the step up in intensity required during major Champions League knockout matches.
