The BVB slumped to a draw after conceding two late goals against the River Islanders.

Borussia Dortmund surrendered a late two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday. Daniel Svensson opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 80th minute, and Nico Schlotterbeck doubled the advantage five minutes later. However, Werder Bremen mounted a late comeback, with Ludovit Reis scoring in the 88th minute before former Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug equalized in stoppage time.
The result ended Dortmund's winning start to the league campaign, though they remain unbeaten through their first five Bundesliga matches. Substitutes Fabio Silva and Joey Veerman both registered assists for Dortmund, while Svensson celebrated his 50th club appearance with a goal. The stalemate marked the second 2-2 draw between the two sides in their last four meetings.
