Borussia Dortmund has contacted the Greek football federation to request that 18-year-old midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas be used sparingly during international duty, according to a report from Sky Germany. The Bundesliga club expressed concern regarding the youngster's heavy workload for both club and country early in the season.
Karetsas started in all three of Greece's recent Nations League fixtures, which included playing the full 90 minutes in a win against Germany. Dortmund sought the restriction to manage player fatigue, noting that the team is scheduled to face Werder Bremen just five days after international duty concludes.
