France U21 qualified for the 2027 U21 Euros after earning a dramatic 3-2 victory over Luxembourg in Lorient. Steve Ngoura scored a first-half brace before Mathys Tel netted the winning goal for the ten-man hosts, securing France's place in the upcoming tournament in Albania and Serbia with one match to spare.
The victory came with setbacks as Leeds United loanee Jean-Matteo Bahoya was substituted due to an injury in the 35th minute. Additionally, Borussia Dortmund defender Joane Gadou received a straight red card in the 50th minute, which rules him out of the final group stage fixture against Switzerland.
