Germany debut set to trigger six-figure bonuses for Köln star El Mala

1. FC Köln youngster Said El Mala is set to receive a significant financial windfall if he makes his senior Germany debut against Serbia on October 1. After missing out on Julian Nagelsmann's World Cup squad, El Mala was named in Jürgen Klopp's expanded 44-man UEFA Nations League squad. A debut appearance will reportedly activate lucrative contract and commercial clauses across multiple agreements.

According to Sport Bild, a clause in El Mala's Köln contract guarantees a €100,000 payment for his debut, alongside potential future salary increases. Additionally, debut bonuses include €175,000 from Nike and approximately €50,000 from EA Sports, totaling at least €325,000. His agreement with trading card company Topps will also see an increase following his first international appearance.
