Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel finished 10th in the final rankings for the 2026 Yashin Trophy, which was won by Athletic Bilbao and Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon. Kobel was Dortmund's sole representative at the Ballon d'Or program but skipped the London ceremony due to an upcoming match against Werder Bremen.
Sachin Bhat notes that Kobel tied a club record with 15 Bundesliga clean sheets last season, conceding 34 goals in 34 games. Arsenal's David Raya and Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois finished second and third, while Emiliano Martinez and Cape Verde's Vozinha placed fifth and sixth.
